Swift Background

Swift started in a very humble way with 4 single mothers who caught the vision which was introduced by a coach.

The young single mothers were depressed due to big responsibilities without a sure future plan.

Gathering in evenings to do netball training brought hope for a future eventually grew to 80 members within a year.

Later Swift superladies netball club reproduced other clubs within due age groups ( Swift kids club,Swift superladies netball club,Swift Teenz club and Swift mixed club)

In 2022 we recognized a need which came out of circumstances in community and therefore we thought to register a community based organization to also contribute to fight of poverty in the community through a sport talent ( netball, football and rugby) as for start and also hoping to set up a recreation center for practical skilling.

Our mission: Discovering,developing and promoting sports talent.

challenges; We are lacking equipments and resources.We don't have our own netball court or play ground for all our sports programs. We have many single mothers who cant afford to take children to school so we thought of a project to empower them but still inactive thought.

Achievements;

1. We are registered as a CBO in Wakiso district, Nansana municipality in Uganda.

Registration No: swift sports organisation NMC/CBO/1766/25.

We have been in operation of fighting poverty through sports. Through our mission many single mothers gained hope,became professional netballers,got jobs through our exposure.

We have discovered and developed hundreds of children's talents in Wakiso district.

1. We have a CBO Bank Account.
2. We have executive committee with a professional administrative structure.
3. Swift superladies netball club won two division tournament trophies 2019 and 2023.
4. We support 5 disadvantaged teens with school fees and scholastic materials every year since 2022.

Long Term Goal

Swift Recreation Center for practical skilling. This is to empower many single mothers and school dropouts due to different circumstances to achieve physical professional skilling and start up their own small income businesses at home like cake baking,saloon hair dressing etc.

Short Term Goals.

1. We are focusing to set up pigs project. This is to sustain all our clubs activities plus coaches allowances.

We are looking for a person to come on board as International Executive administrative partner.

He or she will recieve voluntary allowance for a moment as we focus to establish swift sports organisation as it is with our local administration. Swift sports organisation is depending on small donations from friends and well-wishers. However we are focusing to establish two project which can sustain clubs activities and administration that piglets project and Swift recreation center ( products of learners will be put on market)

We don't need a money oriented person but developer and implementor.

We are eagerly waiting for you.
