    The World Childhood Foundation USA (Childhood USA) seeks a highly motivated and experienced Development Associate to play a key role in advancing our mission to inspire, promote, and develop solutions to end the sexual abuse and exploitation of children. This full-time, onsite position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who is driven to make a difference and has a proven track record in development.

    Core Responsibilities

    The Development Associate will provide essential, elevated support to Childhood USA’s development efforts, ensuring the effective execution of fundraising strategies and donor relations.

      • Donor Portfolio Management & Solicitation Support:

    Manage a small portfolio of lower- to mid-level donors (up to $5,000), focusing on moves management, renewal, and cultivation.

    Work with the Director of Philanthropy to prepare for and follow up on major gift solicitations, including preparing personalized proposals and commitment forms.

      • Grant Support:

    Assist with the research, preparation, and submission of grant proposals and reports to foundations and institutional funders.

    Manage the grant calendar, tracking deadlines for proposals, reports, and LOIs.

      • Fundraising Operations & Events:

    Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including coordination of logistics, donor materials, and day-of support.

    Manage the development team's calendar and scheduling, ensuring timely follow-up on donor and partner communications.

    Prepare professional and accurate materials for donor meetings, presentations, and Board reports.

      • Communications & Stewardship:

    Draft and edit donor-facing correspondence, solicitation materials, newsletters, and stewardship reports.

    Execute donor stewardship activities, ensuring timely and personalized recognition and cultivation efforts.

      • Donor & Database Management:

    Manage and maintain the integrity of the Salesforce donor database by working with the Executive Assistant to accurately process gifts, generate acknowledgement letters, and maintain detailed donor records.

    Create and produce comprehensive fundraising reports, mailing lists, and financial summaries for leadership review.

    Skills and Experience

      • Excellent computer skills, including databases (Salesforce preferred but not required).
      • Superb communications ability, both written and oral, including a nimble approach to different audiences, such as high-level individuals from Sweden and around the world.
      • 4–5 years of progressive experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or a related field.
      • Bachelor's degree required.

    Salary Range

      • $85-100,000
