    Description

    Operations Associate

    The Operations Associate is a full time, non-exempt position reporting to the Operations Director. This position is responsible for coordinating volunteer engagement, office administration, and community partnerships. The Vendor Program is the core of the organization and this position is key to ensuring vendor agency and success.

    Primary roles and responsibilities:

    Vendor Program Support (35%)

    • Review updates to the policies and practices of the Vendor Program
    • Maintain and develop our organizational databases for vendors and volunteers
    • Provide support to Vendor Programs staff as needed
    • Coordinate Vendor Center activities with other departments
    • Reconcile Venmo fund by tracking daily Venmo payouts and cash withdrawals
    • Coordinate weekly posts to Real Change’s social media accounts, which includes taking or sourcing photos with vendors and coordinating with the Editorial and Development departments

    Organizational Operations and Staff Support (40%)

    • Supervising the day-to-day Vendor Center operations
    • Maintain inventory and purchase office supplies and office equipment for all departments
    • Coordinate distribution of RC merchandise such as newspaper subscriptions, in coordination with volunteers
    • Disburse and track all petty cash while ensuring strong cash controls for the organization

    Volunteer Support (10%)

    • Maintain timely communication with all active volunteers via email or phone
    • Train volunteers and staff in the use of online volunteer management program and other volunteer tools
    • Recruit new volunteers, in coordination with the Operations Director and departments of the organization
    • Maintain and update volunteer policies and procedures to effectively support programs across the organization; maintain current application and background materials for all volunteers
    • Submit quarterly reports of volunteer data to our accountant

    Emerald City Resource Guide (10%)

    • Coordinate annual Resource Guide content and website updates with volunteers
    • Procure Resource Guide sponsorships, in coordination with our Development department
    • Manage Resource Guide printing and distribution

    Other (5%)

    • Participate in staff meetings, retreats, and board meetings as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    Benefits
