    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Assistant Director of Academic Advisement, the Part-time Academic Advising Assistant/College Assistant will support an undergraduate, adult, fully online, transfer student population through the following responsibilities:

    • Provide high-level customer service to students through multiple communication methods, with a focus on handling a high volume of email and Zoom interactions.
    • Deliver general academic advisement and major-specific advisement on degree requirements, academic policies, course selection, academic planning, adjustment to online learning; make referrals to appropriate support services as needed.
    • Assist with early alert outreach and interventions for at-risk students to promote academic persistence.
    • Monitor the accuracy of student records in CUNYfirst and DegreeWorks, tracking student progress toward degree completion.
    • Utilize EAB Navigate for data collection and student communication.
    • Collaborate with administrators and faculty to ensure timely and accurate communication regarding student needs and inquiries.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    NOTE:

    The assignment is anticipated to continue through June 30, 2026, contingent upon workload needs and available funding.

    Preferred Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year experience in a customer service- oriented position
    • Strong communication and writing skills
    • Strong organization skills with attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Proven ability to prioritize, establish and meet goals
    • Experience working in a fast-paced, team-based, and customer service-oriented environment
