    Description

    The Development Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the fundraising goals of the Inheritance Theater Project by working closely with the Board and Executive Director to design and implement fundraising strategies, including grants and major gifts. The coordinator will support the Executive Director in all fundraising efforts, assisting in preparing board materials, donor briefings, strategic calendaring of meetings, and logistical and administrative support for fundraising events and campaigns and contribute to grant proposals and stewardship materials. The coordinator will also support donor relations, grant and prospect research, and development operations. They will work closely with the full time team to manage gift processing, maintain accurate donor records, and prepare acknowledgment letters and reports.

    The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to contribute to an inspiring mission through excellent project management, clear communication, and efficient systems support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Donor Relations & Stewardship

    • Work closely with the Board and Executive Director to design and implement fundraising strategies, including grants and major gifts
    • Draft acknowledgment letters and donor correspondence, ensuring timely, accurate, and personalized stewardship.
    • Support cultivation and stewardship activities, including donor meetings, mailings, and events.
    • Assist with producing donor-facing materials such as proposals, reports, and impact updates.

    Database & Gift Management

    • Accurately record all donations in the CRM system, maintaining up-to-date donor and prospect records.
    • Generate reports, mailing lists, and queries to support campaigns and events.
    • Partner with finance team to ensure proper reconciliation and record-keeping.

    Research & Prospect Development

    • Conduct research on individual, corporate, and foundation prospects.
    • Draft grant proposals and grant reports
    • Prepare background materials for donor meetings, events, and leadership.

    Program/Events Support

    • Provide logistical and administrative support for fundraising events, campaigns, and board-related activities.
    • Track RSVPs, prepare guest lists, and assist with on-site event management.

    Admin

    • Prepare board materials and donor briefings
    • Facilitate strategic calendaring of meetings
    • Support the Executive Director in all fundraising logistics
