    Description

    The Helping to Heal Foundation is the publisher of Helping to Heal, Patti Wood's acclaimed book of comfort and empowerment for parents of children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. The Foundation is seeking a compassionate, outgoing, and highly articulate person to manage relationships with new and existing partner organizations, oversee the shipment of materials and actively seek new funding opportunities.

    In a unique distribution model made possible by private individual donations to the Foundation, Helping to Heal is made available at no cost to parents through a network of hundreds of organizations, including hospitals, cancer treatment and support centers, and other qualified health institutions. (Individuals can purchase the book directly from the Foundation for $12.)

    The Foundation's Outreach Director is responsible for nurturing and maintaining existing partner relationships, identifying and developing new potential partners, maintaining records of shipments and orders, and overseeing the shipment of books to our partner network.

    The successful candidate will exhibit an interest in environmental health, a demonstrated desire to help the parents of children with cancer, a careful attention to detail, outstanding oral and written communication skills, and proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google sheets and similar programs.
