Overview
Promote the Vote Fund (PTVF) is a coalition of more than a dozen leading partner organizations who are dedicated to ensuring that Michigan’s voting system works for all. From voter education and engagement, to election protection, to legislative advocacy, our coalition effectively cuts through the partisan noise to advance voting rights for the people of Michigan.
We have drafted and worked with partners to pass two transformative pro-voter ballot initiatives, have equipped hundreds of thousands of voters with timely, accessible, multilingual voting-related resources, have co-led Michigan’s statewide nonpartisan Election Protection Programs, and have drafted, workshopped and advocated for dozens of pro-voter bills. In the years that PTVF has been active, Michigan has gone from being one of the lowest-ranking states in terms of ballot access to a recognized leader in election security and accessibility.
As part of our election protection work, PTVF recruits, trains, and manages hundreds of pro-voter volunteers to serve as poll monitors and challengers at polling locations and early voting sites statewide and to staff the nonpartisan 866-OUR-VOTE Election Protection Hotline. These volunteers form an essential component of Michigan’s nonpartisan Election Protection Program. We are seeking a hardworking, organized, and proactive Election Protection Volunteer Coordinator (EP Volunteer Coordinator) to lead this work, by developing and executing a strategy to recruit, retain, and manage these crucial volunteers. This is a part-time contract position.
