    Masa’s community-led, integrated model engages the entire family, grounded in a deep commitment to strengthening literacy, leadership, and power for Mexican, Central American, and Indigenous People. Masa fosters a culturally responsive learning community in which families engage with direct service and advocacy programs to dismantle barriers to success.

    The Program Associate (FT) reports to the Family Support Coordinator and will provide case management services through in-person support, referrals, and rapid response services to Masa community members. The Program Associate will also provide direct family support services in navigating social services systems. In addition, the Program Associate will lead workshops and information sessions with groups either in-person or in a virtual setting.

    This position is full-time through 6/30/26, with possibility of extension contingent upon funding. This role is in-person at Masa’s offices in the South Bronx.

    Responsibilities:

    • Build a relationship with community members, local schools and community-based organizations to promote and recruit participants for Masa’s Pro Se Plus project and Welcome NY Initiatives
    • Advocate for community members by providing case management support and/or appropriate referrals to partner organization
    • Support overall community outreach efforts and related work that may arise
    • Refer community members to appropriate providers
    • Collect and enter data from phone calls/ workshops/ consultations into a variety of platforms including Excel, Google Docs and Salesforce
    • Support managing the immigration interest form, waitlists, and prioritizing cases
    • Conduct intake assessments and immigration legal screenings to assess immigration and other social services needs of community members
    • Coordinate with supervisor and legal partners to regularly update and adapt educational materials to reflect changes in immigration policy and enforcement, as well as to reflect common concerns and questions being shared by community members
    • Conduct Know Your Rights presentations for community members and community-based organizations
    • Recruit and build relationships with volunteers for the Prose+ project

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will possess many or most of the following qualifications:

    • High school diploma preferred, B.A. degree a plus
    • 1-2 years of relevant experience in social work/social services preferred
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills
    • Detail-oriented and highly organized
    • Excellent written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google suite; familiarity with Salesforce a plus
    • Experience working with immigrant and indigenous speaking families a major plus
    • Bilingual in Spanish/English

    Physical demands:

    • This position is in-person at Masa’s office, and may require local travel to other settings at times (e.g. Masa community events, etc.)
    • Light to moderate carrying of office materials is required
    • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain

    Compensation:

    $22/hr

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Fully bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
