    KidsQuest Children’s Museum is seeking a strategic and creative Senior Marketing Manager with proven marketing expertise and strong design skills. This role is ideal for a seasoned marketer who can craft compelling campaigns, elevate brand presence, and deliver innovative solutions that drive results. The ideal candidate is passionate about childhood development and committed to creating impactful marketing that connects families to our mission.

    The Senior Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies that promote KidsQuest’s mission, programs, fundraising initiatives, and role as a premier resource in the community. You will manage advertising and marketing across print, digital, email, and in-museum channels; oversee contractors and vendors; handle media relations; maintain website updates; and oversee content creation. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will supervise the Social Media and Content Lead and support all departments to ensure a consistent and impactful brand voice across Development, Education, and Visitor Services teams.

    This position will play a key role in KidsQuest’s upcoming capital campaign, providing marketing strategies and design support to amplify campaign messaging and donor engagement. You will help ensure that all campaign materials and communications reflect our brand and inspire participation. As we prepare for our exciting move to a new home in 2029, this is a unique opportunity to drive current museum engagement while helping to shape the future of KidsQuest.

    Job status: Full-Time, Exempt

    Pay Rate: $83,000-$87,000 annually

    Position reports to: Director of Development, oversees Digital Marketing Lead

    Work week: 40hrs per week, Monday-Friday, Hybrid – 2 to 3 days in office. Some weekends, evenings and special events required throughout the year.

    RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

    STRATEGIC MARKETING

    • Develop and execute an annual marketing and communications plan to advance KidsQuest’s brand, programming, service, and development goals. Build communications strategies and campaigns to target wider audiences and increase Museum attendance.
    • Manage KidsQuest’s external advertising purchases, develop and manage vendor relationships, and seek new opportunities.
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
    • In collaboration with all departments, guide strategies in customer relations and data collection to understand audience and visitor experience.
    • Utilize market research and performance data to optimize marketing initiatives and drive ROI.

    LEADERSHIP AND CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

    • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to align marketing communications with organizational priorities, ensuring consistency and impact across all touchpoints.
    • Maintain efficient internal processes and procedures related to marketing and communications requests and fulfillment across all departments.
    • Supervise the Social Media and Content Lead and collaborate to implement proactive, timely, and relevant tactics. Encourage an environment that is welcoming and supportive of life-long learning. Share opportunities for professional development.
    • Remain informed of industry trends through seminars, reading materials, and relationships with leaders in the field. Keep staff informed of marketing strategies, efforts, trends, and results.

    GRAPHIC DESIGN & BRAND MANAGEMENT

    • Design and oversee production of internal and external marketing projects, including (but not limited to) printed collateral, digital graphics, and special event visual elements. Work in collaboration with contracted graphic designer for larger scale external advertising needs.
    • Oversee and execute content creation, maintenance, and analytics of the organization’s website.

    COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

    • Collaborate with Director of Development on public relations efforts, including writing press releases and local media relations to enhance the Museum’s visibility and reputation.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED

    • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience is required with at least (2) years of people/team management experience.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and content management systems (CMS)
    • Demonstrated skills in graphic design, print production layout design, illustration, and digital design.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Platform and Adobe Creative Cloud
    • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with experience in evolving and managing a brand voice that adapts to and resonates with diverse audiences.
    • Demonstrated expertise in shaping brand strategy and driving integrated digital marketing campaigns.
    • Ability to use written and verbal communication effectively with a wide variety of individuals including donors, press, corporate representatives, teens, children, and parents.

    PREFERRED

    • Experience working on a small team
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
