    DESCRIPTION

    PRIMARY ROLE: Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer (CAO), the Sr. Director of Field Advancement plays a critical role in helping the Foundation achieve its vision to make life better for people with Parkinson’s. This position supports a wide range of field activities, assisting the CAO in driving revenue and reach through setting priorities, shaping processes, guiding investment in people and systems, and building the infrastructure needed for a stronger, more efficient organization.

    As a key member of the Advancement team, the Sr. Director will oversee departmental specialists who lead core programs and serve as advisors to Chapter teams in their respective focus areas related to revenue development and mission delivery. It is essential that the Sr. Director, Field Advancement consistently demonstrates and upholds the Foundation’s values of collaboration, dedication, excellence, integrity, positivity, responsiveness and teamwork.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Working with the CAO to support Regional Directors and Chapter staff in making consistent and progressive steps toward organizational and programmatic alignment and sustainability.
    • Provide management guidance, growth strategies and operational support for Peer-to-Peer events and community education programs to support the advancement team members.
    • Directly support a team of departmental specialists (P2P, Corporate Sponsorships, Foundation Giving), supporting them in the execution of their strategies and in their roles as advisors to Chapter teams.
    • Communicate across departments to maintain a strong understanding of Foundation goals and mission priorities, particularly in representing the field perspective, connecting programs to funding, creatively generating resources, and building strategic partnerships.
    • Support coordination and implementation of national initiatives across the field, ensuring streamlined processes and clear communication.
    • Coordinate and direct expansion strategies, including new business and program start-up efforts.
    • Enhance organizational excellence by helping to establish operational benchmarks, performance metrics, timelines, and resources needed in the Field to achieve strategic goals, proactively recommending and drive improvements as necessary.
    • Stay current on internal policies and organizational initiatives; provide weekly performance updates to the Chief Advancement Officer.
    • Additional assignments as required to fulfill the mission of the Parkinson’s Foundation.

    EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience required.
    • 7 – 10 years of related experience in the nonprofit or for- profit sector in business, fundraising or corporate administration, including direct team management, healthcare non-profit experience preferred.
    • Proven success in implementing fundraising strategies including events, corporate and foundation giving, donor cultivation and stewardship and community outreach and education programs.
    • Strong skills in strategic planning, budgeting, volunteer development and program development.
    • Skilled people manager with a track record of leading high-performing teams of 5 or more.
    • Outgoing, energetic, organized, and detail-oriented team player who can adhere to timelines and prioritize effectively.
    • Excellent communicator with strong writing, presentation, and coalition-building skills; adept at balancing internal and external stakeholder needs.
    • Demonstrated ability to connect programs to funding, creatively generating resources, and build strategic partnerships.
    • Collaborative self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities; detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
    • A driving force who manages toward clarity and solutions.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT a plus
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, with up to 20% travel; must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license

    COMPENSATION:

    Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000.
