    We are seeking an experienced and mission‑driven Portfolio Manager to lead a team of Account Managers and strengthen our partnerships with Financial Institutions (FIs). In this role, you will guide strategic account planning, drive portfolio performance, and cultivate high-impact relationships that support financial inclusion and sustainable economic growth.

    You’ll be both a people leader and a strategic business partner, ensuring your team is equipped, aligned, and empowered to deliver exceptional outcomes across a diverse portfolio of financial institution partners.

    What You’ll do

    Account Planning + Management

    • Oversee and guide your team in creating and executing strategic account plans.
    • Ensure delivery against performance objectives, financial targets, and key milestones.
    • Serve as a senior advisor on account strategy, identifying opportunities to deepen partner engagement.

    Business Development 

    • Lead business development efforts within your portfolio, building relationships with key decision makers across financial institutions.
    • Partner with internal teams to drive growth initiatives and expand the pipeline of potential FI partners.
    • Identify opportunities to elevate account performance and expand existing engagements.

    Business Metrics + Reporting

    • Consolidate, analyze, and report on account performance and business metrics for your portfolio.
    • Provide clear insights on progress toward impact goals, funding utilization, and execution of partnership plans.
    • Ensure leadership and cross-functional teams have the information they need to make strategic decisions.

    Talent Management

    • Foster a collaborative, high-trust environment that amplifies cross-functional partnership.
    • Align team efforts to organizational goals and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality results.

    What Makes you a great fit

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or related equivalent working experience.
    • Seven or more years of progressive experience in business development and/or account management in one or more of the following areas: retail, wholesale, micro finance, micro, small and medium enterprises, and/or water & sanitation infrastructure finance/projects.
    • Proven experience of elevating account performance and/or expanding accounts and business contracts within relevant industries and markets.
    • Passionate about people management and/or mentorship with at least 1 year of experience leading a team.
    • Proficient (written and verbal) in English.

    Travel Requirement
