Founded in 1996, No Limits for Deaf Children and Families is a nationally recognized nonprofit providing no-cost, language-rich programs for underserved deaf children from birth to 21 and their families. As we celebrate 30 years of impact, we are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy Program & Events Assistant with a positive, can-do attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple events at the same time.
Position Overview
The Program & Events Assistant is a hands-on, in-person role supporting daily program operations, fundraising events, and communications. This position requires exceptional organization, strong technology and AI skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics, timelines, and deliverables for multiple programs and events at once
- Use AI tools to support writing, organization, workflows, and productivity
- Create and maintain trackers, calendars, checklists, and shared systems
- Design flyers, schedules, and digital materials using Canva
- Support fundraising efforts including sponsorship outreach, tracking, and acknowledgements
- Assist with event-related grants (writing support, data gathering, reporting)
- Draft, edit, and proofread professional communications (emails, eblasts, social media, event descriptions)
- Support on-site event execution, setup, and follow-up
- Jump in where needed with a positive, solutions-oriented, can-do mindset
Required Qualifications
- Extremely organized with proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- Thrives in a fast-paced, in-person work environment
- Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
- Strong technology skills, including:
- Canva (required)
- AI tools for writing and productivity
- Google Workspace / Microsoft Office
- Project management tools (Monday.com, Asana, Trello, etc.)
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and reliable
- Experience in events, nonprofit programs, fundraising, or administration preferred
