In this role, you will be a vital part of our team to provide support to farmers across Connecticut. Your work will help Connecticut farmers through direct support to individual farms and collaboration with state leaders and agricultural stakeholders.

Expect a high range of variability in day-to-day tasks and responsibilities that you are asked to complete. We are looking for someone who is excited to learn and has the ability to pivot quickly to new projects and goals. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in non-profit project management while being a vital part supporting Connecticut agriculture.

The Project Coordinator is expected to work 20-25 hours/week in-person in our office in Wethersfield, CT. We are flexible as to when these hours are completed as long as they are completed between 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. There is a 6-month probationary period before PTO begins.

    • Participate in the planning, coordination, and on-site support of Farm Bureau events, including trade shows, the Annual Meeting, and other related events, which may involve occasional in-state travel.
    • Coordinate communication and facilitate relationships among state agricultural stakeholders, including members, state and local governmental leaders, and our staff, to ensure success.
    • Assist with management and oversight of our commercial building. This includes communicating effectively with tenants and contractors to ensure the building runs smoothly.

    • 5 or more years of experience or familiarity in non-profit, government, or an agricultural related business.
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Some College experience (Preferred, not required)
    • Strong agricultural knowledge. (Preferred, not required)
    • Flexible and adaptable team player willing to take on a wide range of responsibilities and assist in all parts of CFBA's operation.
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
