    Business Engagement Coordinator

    Job Description

    Reports to: Executive Director or designee

    Status: Full-time, salaried, exempt

    Location: Pilsen Neighbors Community Council (On-site)

    Position Summary

    The Business Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in building, managing, and strengthening relationships with businesses and vendors in support of PNCC’s mission, including Fiesta del Sol and other organizational initiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating vendor relationships, monitoring business operations and contracts, resolving issues, and ensuring accountability, responsiveness, and alignment with PNCC values and community priorities.

    The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, relationship-driven, bilingual (Spanish preferred) and comfortable navigating both community and business environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Business & Community Engagement

      • Serve as the primary liaison for business and vendor relationships connected to PNCC initiatives, including Fiesta del Sol (FDS).
      • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, vendors, board leaders, and community stakeholders.
      • Represent PNCC in first-tier engagements related to vendor services, contracts, and operational coordination.
      • Support cross-team efforts during periods of high workload or staffing needs.
      • Responsible for Quarterly Business Round Table meetings.

    Vendor & Operations Management

      • Identify, recruit, and onboard new business vendors aligned with PNCC’s operational and community standards.
      • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for vendor-related requests, issues, and inquiries.
      • Monitor vendor performance, including responsiveness, billing, fulfillment, and service quality.
      • Proactively identify issues or trends and work with vendors to resolve them in a timely manner.
      • Audit vendor activities monthly and provide written reports to the Executive Director or designee.
      • Escalate unresolved or high-impact vendor issues as needed.

    Administrative & Reporting Duties

      • Prepare and submit required documentation, collateral, and materials for vendor approval, marketing, or compliance purposes.
      • Track and document vendor agreements, processes, and communications.
      • Provide weekly updates on vendor performance, challenges, and opportunities to leadership.
      • Coordinate with the Executive Director and office staff on processing, fulfillment, and operational concerns.

    Additional Responsibilities

      • Contribute to continuous improvement of PNCC’s business engagement processes.
      • Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may evolve based on organizational needs.

    Qualifications & Experience

      • Bachelor’s degree in business management, or a related field preferred.
      • Experience working in a business, nonprofit, or community-based organizational environment.
      • Familiarity with vendor coordination, operations, or partnership management is a plus.
