    Executive Director, Florida Bleeding Disorders Association

    Overview

    The Florida Bleeding Disorders Association seeks a mission-driven Executive Director (ED) to lead our statewide nonprofit supporting individuals and families with bleeding disorders. This full-time position oversees operations, finances, outreach, partnerships, and program management. The ED reports directly to the Board of Directors.

    Position Summary

    The ED manages operations, compliance, financial oversight, budgeting, fundraising, community outreach, staff supervision, and public representation. The ED must protect the organization's financial assets and ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, grantor, and nonprofit requirements.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Serve as Executive Staff to the Board, providing reports and updates.
    • Oversee daily operations, policies, and procedures.
    • Supervise the Event Coordinator and recruit and guide volunteers.
    • Manage the approved annual budget and oversee financial reporting.
    • Lead strategic planning and long-term goal implementation.
    • Maintain communications including website and digital outreach.
    • Build relationships with Hemophilia Treatment Centers, local and national chapters, and partners.
    • Monitor public health issues and FDA updates; share safety alerts.
    • Represent the organization to legislative bodies and coalitions.
    • Lead all fundraising: grants, sponsorships, donors, campaigns, events
    • Duties may be adjusted or expanded at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

    Qualifications

    • Nonprofit experience required (leadership preferred).
    • Strong communication, organizational, and financial management skills.
    • Experience in fundraising, budgeting, compliance, and advocacy.
    • Ability to build strong community and healthcare relationships.
    • Spanish speaking is a plus.
    • Able to start as soon as possible.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary range: $85,000–$95,000 depending on experience.
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
    • 3 weeks paid vacation.
    • 10 days paid sick time.
