The CARE Healing Center, formerly the Rape Crisis Intervention Service of Carroll County, has been providing compassionate, confidential support to survivors of sexual violence since 1978. As a growing nonprofit dedicated to healing, advocacy, and prevention, CARE is expanding its impact through the development of a new Legal Services Program to better meet the complex needs of survivors. This position will play a key role in building and implementing these services for our community.

Job Overview
The Legal Director will be responsible for developing and establishing a new Legal Services Program at the CARE Healing Center. This position will oversee all aspects of program administration, including supervision, grant compliance, and program expansion and implementation. The Legal Director will also assist with community education initiatives and agency projects. In addition to program development, the Legal Director will provide direct legal representation to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in civil legal matters, including but not limited to initiating lawsuits, drafting legal documents and memoranda, and advising clients on their legal rights.
