    UNITE HERE seeks a Reports and Data Integration Developer to build, integrate and maintain data infrastructure and analysis tools to support the union’s campaigns.     Position Summary: The Reports and Data Integration Developer is responsible for (1) designing, building, and maintaining data flows between systems and applications, and (2) using those data to build reporting tools and analyses that empower decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical and analytical skills with problem-solving and collaborative abilities. The position requires the ability and willingness to travel in support of campaign work.

    Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

    • Supporting, maintaining, and developing a data warehouse, related databases and reporting systems:
      • Collaborating with the Lead, internal development team, and other partners to build and support reporting tools.
      • Communicating development plans, progress and risks to stakeholders.
      • Developing, monitoring and maintaining ETL processes to integrate data from various systems used by the union and its affiliates, troubleshooting as needed.
      • Interacting with existing REST APIs to transfer data. Designing and implement new APIs as needed.
      • Building and maintaining dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights for campaigns and leadership.
      • Documenting processes and maintaining version control.
      • Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology developments.

    Job Requirements/Qualifications:

      • Motivation to work long and unpredictable hours for economic and social justice;
      • Proficiency in SQL, Python (including pandas and Jupyter notebooks), and other high-level programming languages;
      • Experience using source control such as Git on team projects;
      • Experience using APIs to move data between systems;
      • Experience creating reports and dashboards using PowerBI, Civis, Tableau, IBM Cognos Analytics or Salesforce, and interpreting data with decision makers;
      • Degree in data analytics, data science, information technology, computer science, or equivalent experience;
      • Creativity and flexibility in problem-solving;
      • Ability to travel occasionally;
      • Expectation of participation in core Union activities.
