    About this role

    The Individual Gifts Officer will play a key role working with the ICCR leadership team to help ensure the financial sustainability of the organization and the success of its programs and services. The Individual Gifts Officer will support the implementation of ICCR’s emerging major gift and individual donor strategies, engage current and potential donors to the organization, and track donor outreach and engagement.

    Major responsibilities:

    • Works with the executive team to develop an individual donor pipeline, including outreach to current and potential donors.
    • Supports the executive team on the implementation of individual donor and prospect outreach, including meeting preparation, follow up, and tracking touch points.
    • Manages the development committee of the ICCR Governing Board, including subcommittees on legacy giving and donor engagement events.
    • Supervises and supports consultants as needed, such as ICCR’s Salesforce consultant.
    • Develops and implements the ICCR fundraising calendar, including collaborating with the Communications team to draft and distribute email communications to individuals, fundraising appeals and digital donor engagement opportunities, and working with senior leadership and development committee to plan donor engagement events and meetings.
    • Collaborates with the Director of Communications on the development, drafting, and distribution of fundraising collateral as needed, such as donor-focused fact sheets about ICCR.

    You are passionate about social change and believe that corporations should be held accountable for their impacts on people and planet. You have experience working with individual donors and are excited to help ICCR build out its fundraising capacity around major gifts. You enjoy building relationships with ICCR donors and stakeholders and sharing your passion for ICCR’s work with them. You are a team player eager to collaborate closely with the other members of ICCR’s staff. Specifically, you will be or have most or all of the following qualifications:

    • At least four years of nonprofit fundraising experience with demonstrated success in growing an organization’s small and medium-dollar donor base
    • Passion for ICCR’s mission and programs
    • Experience communicating and connecting with donors whether by phone or in person
    • Experience working with lay leaders, including donors and board members
    • Impeccable organizational and project management skills, with a keen attentiveness to detail while meeting multiple deadlines
    • Proficiency in Salesforce to track, manage, and analyze related data; experience with a similar CRM will be taken into consideration
    • Demonstrated ability to work well within a team, as well as to work independently, juggle multiple tasks, and interact closely with colleagues
    • Ability to occasionally work outside regular hours as needed for events and donor meetings

    Job Requirements

    • You must have the ability to work in the United States. Unfortunately, ICCR is unable to sponsor applicants for employment visas for this role.
    • Preference will be given to those in the NYC area. However, we are open to candidates on the East Coast who are able to travel as needed for ICCR conferences, events, and donor meetings.

    Benefits

    This position does not include paid benefits other than a 5.5% 403b contribution after 6 months of employment and a quarterly remote work stipend. It includes paid vacation, sick days, personal days, and a generous number of ICCR paid holidays (including paid time off around July 4th and end of year), pro-rated for part-time. Professional development will be provided as appropriate.
