    Description

    Shakespeare Theatre Company, in Washington DC, is currently seeking a Donor Relations Coordinator who is looking to begin their Arts Administration or Development career. If you have strong customer service skills, enjoy managing details, and are eager to support arts philanthropy, this position will be a great fit. Reporting to the Director of Annual Philanthropy, this role will spend its time managing donor benefits, responding to donor inquiries, processing ticket requests, and maintaining accurate donor records. Supporting the frontline fundraisers with event support, correspondence, and database management will also be key responsibilities. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits and an annual salary of $47,000 - $50,000.

    The ideal candidate will have at least a bachelor’s degree in Arts Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent professional experience, with 1–2 years of experience in arts fundraising, membership, or customer service. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required, and experience with Tessitura or other CRM systems is preferred. Candidates must have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, be able to handle multiple projects with accuracy and attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Interest in Shakespeare or classic theatre is a plus. This is a hybrid position, with at least three days onsite required. Some evenings and weekends are required.
