    Description

    SUMMARY: The Development Manager provides supportfor a range of fundraising activities, including management of grant proposals and reports, supportfor our annualgiving program, and support for our fundraising events.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead donor management and recognition, and communications includingmessage development, appeal design, tracking of donors and list segmentation
    • Manage online givingopportunities and donor management platform
    • Work with the Senior Director of Advancement, department leads, and CEO to manage grant application and grant reporting processes
    • Develop, write, and submit grant proposals
    • Gain and maintainfamiliarity with past and currentfunded proposals and with all organization funding opportunities
    • Gain and maintainan understanding of budgets as they relateto proposals and the organization
    • Work collaboratively with the FinanceDepartment to track and maintainrecords of grants and donations
    • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events, including the Be the Catalyst Summit, Give Miami Day, and fall donor event
    • Work collaboratively with the SeniorDirector of Advancement on fundraising activities
    • Other duties as assignedby the Senior Director of Advancement

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • This position does not directlysupervise employees at this time

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Language: Professional workingproficiency in oral and writtenEnglish
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
    • Years of experience: 2 years
    • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of web-based platforms
    • Knowledge of development/fundraising

    • Able to sit at desk for long periods of time and utilize computerfor extended periods
    • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate organization needs, including evenings and weekends. Out of town travel may be required.
