POSITION SUMMARY
Lady Freethinker seeks an Animal Advocacy Mobilization Manager to organize, plan, and execute campaign actions to end animal cruelty and inspire people to become changemakers for animals. The successful candidate will strategize new campaigns & investigations, develop innovative campaign actions for both new and existing campaigns, and play a critical role in growing the organization’s influence and community of support through social media, content creation, email support, digital advocacy, and other digital marketing tools. We’re looking for someone who understands the animal advocacy landscape, has fresh and attention-grabbing ideas for campaign actions, and knows how to create digital content that mobilizes people to make change. Ideal candidates will enjoy taking ideas and turning them into actions, have excellent organizational & writing skills, know how to communicate well with the public, pay close attention to detail, manage their time and tasks well, and demonstrate a commitment to animal welfare.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Strategizing innovative ideas for effective campaign actions, both with on-the-ground activities such as demonstrations and virtually-managed activities
- Coordinating campaign actions in their entirety, working with LFT team members and collaborative partners
- Organizing, planning, and executing campaign & investigation assets, including reports, newsletter articles, website materials, video content, and social media posts
- Preparing accurate campaign summaries
- Monitoring existing campaigns for updates
- Strategically growing the organization’s reach and engagement on its primary channels (Bluesky, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram) by analyzing social media performance through A/B testing and close monitoring of results
- Evolving the organization’s strategy and tone of voice to reach new audiences on platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn
- Creating engaging and quality content for LFT’s newsletter and donor appeals, and making enhancements & updates to LFT’s website
- Generating basic performance metrics for monthly reports and campaign debriefs & providing recommendations to help evolve digital strategy and content ideas while monitoring social media and Google analytics closely to suggest ideas for audience expansion.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience with nonprofit advocacy or other activism-driven work
- Creativity and the ability to ideate unique strategies to inspire others to take action
- Desire to take an active role in bringing campaign actions to life
- Interest in and knowledge of current animal-protection issues and the ability to explain campaigns in a concise, clear manner to audience of all levels
- Demonstrated experience creating engaging, thoughtful, purpose-driven content for readers, using excellent writing skills and grammar
- Demonstrated experience strategically engaging audiences on different social media platforms through organic posts
- Demonstrated experience developing high quality creative content (text, image, and video) that advances strategic goals
- Proficiency with social media analytics and strategies, graphic design, and video creation
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and communications tools
- Exceptional organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time effectively and efficiently
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivating in an all-remote team
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing LFT’s values, mission, and goals, with an understanding of animal welfare advocacy
HOURS
Full-time position, 40 hours/week with hours worked between 8 AM & 5 PM PST.
