    About Helpusadopt.org

Helpusadopt.org is a fast-growing, mission-driven nonprofit organization that provides financial grants—up to $30,000—to help individuals and couples afford the cost of adoption. We support domestic, international, and foster care adoptions and proudly serve all families regardless of race, religion, gender, marital status, or sexual orientation.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial, data-driven fundraising professional with a passion for philanthropy and relationship building. If you’re excited by donor stewardship, donor pipeline development, and contributing to meaningful social impact, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in nonprofit development.

This role requires a strategic thinker and strong writer with advanced proficiency in Salesforce CRM, including donor segmentation, reporting, and moves management. You will manage a portfolio of individual donors and support all annual, digital, and peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives aimed at increasing donor retention, acquisition, and long-term revenue growth.

    • Ensure consistent and personalized donor touchpoints that strengthen long-term donor relationships.
    • Support the President with Board engagement, stewardship materials, tailored reports, and follow-up on donor cultivation opportunities.

    Special Events Collaboration

    • Partner with the VP of Special Events to establish, recruit, and support event committees.
    • Coordinate with committee members on outreach, relationship building, and event-related fundraising efforts.
    • Lead post-event development outreach, including follow-up communication, donor stewardship, and converting event attendees into ongoing supporters.

    CRM, Reporting & Data Management

    • Oversee Salesforce data integrity, donor activity tracking, and donor segmentation strategies.
    • Pull and analyze donor reports, queries, and dashboards to support campaign planning and donor cultivation workflows.
    • Collaborate with the Development Associate to ensure accurate gift processing, acknowledgements, and coding.

    Prospect Research & Performance Tracking

    • Conduct prospect research and prepare donor briefings for existing and prospective supporters.
    • Track and report on fundraising KPIs, providing regular insights and recommendations to leadership.
    • Utilize industry benchmarks and best practices to continuously refine the donor retention and acquisition strategy.

    External Engagement

    • Represent the organization at donor cultivation events, meetings, and opportunities that deepen community and donor relationships.
    • Occasional travel is required, domestic 2-5 trips annually for approximately 1-3 days
