    Description

    Quixote Center is seeking an experienced communications manager for a part-time, 20-hour per week, benefits eligible, hybrid position located at our Washington, DC, office near Union Station.

    Job Responsibilities

    1. Develop and lead communications plan.
    2. Create content and manage social media.
    3. Write, edit, and manage weekly eblast and other email campaigns.
    4. Create content and design for quarterly newsletter.
    5. Participate in communications coalitions with allied groups.

    Qualifications: Required

    1. Minimum 5 years of experience working in a non-profit communications role or related field.
    2. Undergraduate degree in related field.
    3. Understanding of and familiarity with the issues Quixote Center works on and the mission.
    4. Excellent research, writing and editing skills.
    5. Proficiency with on-line communications, social media, and design tools.
    6. Enjoys working as part of a small team and willing to pitch in wherever needed.

    Qualifications: Preferred

    1. Experience working with the press.
    2. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Haitian Kreyol.
    3. Familiarity with DC-based national non-profits, especially faith-based.
    4. Proficient in video and audio file editing.

    Half-time salary is $35,500 with generous leave, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
