    Description

    Pro Bono Partnership (the Partnership) provides free business and transactional legal services to nonprofit organizations serving the disadvantaged or enhancing the quality of life in neighborhoods in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The Partnership annually recruits and mobilizes hundreds of attorneys from major corporations and law firms to donate their time and expertise on behalf of its nonprofit clients, enhancing the nonprofits’ ability to improve conditions in their communities.     Position Summary

    The Partnership is seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and creative Program Assistant who will provide a high level of administrative and organizational support to the Connecticut legal program (primarily three attorneys). The Program Assistant will also support the Pro Bono Manager with volunteer communications; coordinating volunteer recognition activities; running reports and other general support. We are looking for a strategic thinker brimming with ideas and energy who wants to grow and apply their skills to a nonprofit making a positive impact in the tristate area.

    The Partnership offers a hybrid work model and a relaxed atmosphere of collaborative and dedicated nonprofit professionals. The Program Assistant role is remote with an option to work in the Parsippany, NJ or White Plains, NY offices. Occasional travel to Hartford, CT will be required for special events in the Connecticut Program.     Essential Job Functions

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Act as the central point of communication for the CT program.
    • Take pride of ownership for the CT program data in Salesforce, including data entry, maintenance, and extracting data for meaningful reports.
    • Provide administrative support to staff attorneys, including but not limited to corresponding with nonprofit clients and volunteers; opening, closing, and tracking legal projects; scheduling calls and meetings; and responding to general inquiries received by phone or email
    • Answer and route Legal Resource Helpline calls.
    • Become a power user for our communications software, Salesforce’s Account Engagement.
    • Create and manage volunteer-related email campaigns.
    • Provide WordPress website support relating to Pro Bono Manager.
    • Special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Previous work experience in a fast-paced office preferred.
    • Enthusiasm, initiative, and commitment to pro bono work and the nonprofit sector are required.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
    • Must be reliable, detail oriented, have strong interpersonal skills, able to handle multiple tasks, and have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy.

    We use MS Office, Salesforce, Account Engagement, and WordPress. The successful candidate will either be fluent in these programs or possess a natural instinct for learning and exploring new software.

    Work Location

    Mostly Remote. Travel will be required to Hartford, CT for special events, and to White Plains, NY for quarterly staff meetings. Candidate has the option to work out of the Parsippany, NJ or White Plains, NY offices.

    Salary and Benefits
