    Description

    The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration of 12 months. Employment location will be Fort Liberté, Haiti (HT).

    As the Logistics Expert, you will ensure the efficient, transparent, and compliant management of all logistical operations necessary to implement the project in Haiti’s North-East. The project aims to sustainably improve agricultural productivity, food security, and the resilience of local populations. Specifically, it focuses on protecting the Marion dam and downstream infrastructure, increasing and stabilizing water availability, reducing flood risks, supporting agricultural production and value chains, and strengthening the resilience and nutrition of vulnerable communities. You will play a key role in procurement, fleet and stock management, field logistics, security follow-up, and operational support to technical teams to ensure these objectives are successfully achieved.

    Your responsibilities

    • Plan, implement, and monitor all project procurement in compliance with EU and organizational regulations.
    • Manage supplier selection, order follow-up, and quality control of goods and services.
    • Organize, track, and secure project stock and equipment; oversee maintenance and allocation.
    • Plan and manage the project’s vehicle and motorcycle fleet, including maintenance and documentation.
    • Coordinate logistics for field activities, including transport, deliveries, and equipment deployment.
    • Provide operational support to technical teams and manage relationships with local suppliers.
    • Monitor staff and asset security, implement safety protocols, and document incidents.
    • Ensure compliance with internal logistics procedures and donor requirements; prepare reports.
    • Train and support staff and local partners on logistics, safety, and equipment use.

    Your profile

    • University degree in logistics, supply chain management, administration, or a related field.
    • Proven professional experience in logistics management, preferably in development, humanitarian, or rural infrastructure projects.
    • Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations; experience with EU-funded projects is a strong asset.
    • Experience managing fleet, stock, and equipment.
    • Understanding of safety and security protocols in complex operational contexts.
    • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
    • High ethical standards and ability to ensure transparency and compliance in all processes.
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Experience working with local suppliers, service providers, and field staff.
    • Proficiency with MS Office and logistics management tools.
    • Capacity to train and support staff and local partners in logistics procedures.
    • Readiness to receive the necessary vaccinations to work in our country offices.
    • You recognize the growing value of data in your field and strive to make evidence-based decisions. ​
    • Fluency in French and English is required.
