    Description

The American Association for Justice (AAJ) works to preserve the constitutional right to trial by jury and to make sure people have a fair chance to seek justice when they are injured by the negligence or misconduct of others - even when it means taking on the most powerful corporations.

AAJ is seeking a Campaign Manager. This role will manage the day-to-day of AAJ’s issue-based campaigns. As part of the broader advocacy team, this role will plan, implement, and oversee multiple projects across state and federal issues, helping to develop and execute a variety of campaign activities such as paid and earned media, polling, coalition-building, and other related campaign activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of AAJ’s issue-based campaigns while coordinating with the larger team to integrate communications, research, lobbying, fundraising, and organizing efforts into each project.
    • While working across different departments, oversee campaign timelines, deliverables, and budget.
    • Monitor campaign performance and advise on strategy as needed.
    • Provide regular updates to leadership and important stakeholders on campaign progress, milestones, and results.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key coalition partners, stakeholders, and community organizations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field. Equivalent years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
    • Five or more years’ experience managing political or issue-based campaigns, with at least two statewide or Congressional-level cycles. Experience managing competitive House or Senate races or ballot initiatives are strongly preferred.
    • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to balance multiple campaigns and competing priorities simultaneously.
    • Is flexible, adaptable, self-motivated, and can prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communicator with strong time management skills, and attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with communications, policy, and fundraising a plus.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships across diverse teams.
    • Occasional travel to events as assigned.

    Salary Range: $105,600-$125,000
