    FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

    COMPENSATION: $ 26.00 - 30.00 Pay range hourly

    PUBLIC TRANSIT PROXIMITY: ½ block from F Line, 1 block from Bus lines 6 & 7

    SCHEDULE:

    Number of hrs. per week: 40hrs. per week

    Days of the week: Generally Monday-Friday (flexibility with weekend for Programs & Events)

    POSITION SUMMARY: Openhouse seeks a highly organized, solutions-focused and detail-oriented Data & Programs Assistant to support our programs for LGBTQ+ older adults and adults with disabilities. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and complete data collection, supporting program logistics and providing general administrative assistance. The ideal candidate will be dependable, collaborative and skilled with working with a variety of databases.

    ABOUT OPENHOUSE: Openhouse was founded in 1998 to enable Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) older adults to overcome the unique challenges they face as they age by providing LGBTQ+ welcoming housing, resources, high-impact direct services, and innovative community programs. As a result, Openhouse reduces isolation and empowers LGBTQ older adults to improve their overall health, well-being, and economic security.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Data & Administrative Support

      • Enter and maintain accurate participant and program data in internal and external databases.
      • Follow up with participants and staff to ensure current and complete registration records for all individuals engaged in programming.
      • Monitor data for accuracy and completeness; conduct routine quality checks to ensure compliance with grant reporting requirements.
      • Coordinate with program staff and managers to resolve data discrepancies and ensure timely updates.
      • Provide front desk reception coverage as needed, including answering phones and greeting visitors.
      • Support cross-department administrative tasks as assigned.

    Program & Logistics Support

      • Assist in the setup and breakdown of rooms for programming (includes moving tables and chairs, organizing and cleaning rooms before, during, and after events).
      • Staff in-person and virtual programs as needed, supporting logistics, participant check-in, and general operations.
      • Assist in preparing materials and supplies for workshops, community events, and ongoing programming.

    Home Delivered Grocery Program Support

      • Provide back-up support for the Home Delivered Grocery Program, which may include:
      • Packing and organizing grocery bags.
      • Delivering groceries by foot or public transportation (no driving required).

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite,, and willingness to learn new database systems.
    • Ability to lift and move up to 35 lbs, including tables, chairs, and grocery bags.
    • Strong interpersonal communication skills and comfort working with diverse populations.
      • Successful experience working in culturally diverse situations including working with people of various racial and ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities; dedication to justice and equity.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, as well as proficiency in Excel are helpful.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Full COVID vaccination required (or approved accommodation). Physical skills and abilities to perform work required, such as commuting and transporting from Openhouse offices to community member homes. Other physical duties may include grocery and household need shopping and delivery. Additional program related obligations.

    COMPENSATION: Starting range is $26.00 - 30.00 hourly. Compensation is commensurate with experience and language capacity. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) non-exempt position.
