AASLD is seeking a Coordinator, Exhibits & Sponsorships to join our Corporate Partnerships, Development & Events Department. The Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation and execution of Affiliate Events and Satellite Symposia for AASLD’s premier annual meeting, The Liver Meeting®. The Coordinator, Exhibits & Sponsorships supports the Director, Exhibits & Sponsorship with the exhibit and sponsorship sales process, sponsorship fulfillment, researching the healthcare landscape for new leads/opportunities, and provide general administrative support to the team. The position supports the furtherance of diversifying and strengthening of AASLD’s revenue streams with a long-term target of financial independence.
The successful candidate will be a highly enthusiastic, dynamic, people-oriented individual, who is a team player and exudes comfort working with diverse communities and is an energetic, proactive self-starter, with strong administrative, organizational, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with precision and is eager to join a supportive and innovative team.

PAID TIME OFF (PTO)
PTO accrues at the following rates:

Years 1, 2, and 3 - 30 days annually, 36 days annually
Year 4 – the length of employment 32 days annually, 36 days annually

HOLIDAY LEAVE
AASLD observes the holidays designated by the Federal Government. In addition, the AASLD office will close the day following Christmas and will not reopen until the first business day following New Year’s Day.
DENTAL & VISION INSURANCE
AASLD’s dental and vision plans are administered by the Guardian. The dental plan is a Preferred Provider Plan (PPO). AASLD pays 100% of the employee-only premiums. Vision coverage is a complimentary benefit.
HEALTH INSURANCE
AASLD provides health insurance for all regular full-time employees. The Association offers health coverage through UnitedHealthcare (UHC). Two plans are offered to employees. They include platinum and gold level plans. Both plans include a national network of providers. AASLD pays up to $715 of the premium for employee-only and up to $1,000 for employees and dependents. Premiums exceeding $715 and/or $1,000 are deducted pre-tax from employee paycheck through AASLD’s Section 125 Cafeteria.
SECTION 125 CAFETERIA PLAN
The Association sponsors a Section 125 Cafeteria Plan administered through the PayChex payroll service.
LIFE & ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISMEMBERMENT (AD&D) INSURANCE
AASLD pays 100% of the eligible employee’s premium. The life and AD&D insurance plans are administered by Guardian.
LONG-TERM & SHORT-TERM DISABILITY
AASLD pays 100% of the eligible employee’s premium. The life and AD&D insurance plans are administered by Guardian.
RETIREMENT/PENSION PLAN
All AASLD employees may contribute to their AASLD 403(b) retirement plan upon enrollment. Employee contributions are through salary reduction (salary is taxed after the contribution is deducted).
For full-time employees, AASLD contributes 10% of the employee’s current salary to the retirement plan effective the month following the first anniversary date.
EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

VOLUNTARY BENEFITS
AASLD offers employees voluntary life, critical illness, and accident insurance. These benefits are available on the day of hire. These benefits are also administered by Guardian.
BEREAVEMENT LEAVE
AASLD grants each employee five days of leave for bereavement purposes due to the death of someone in the immediate family.
OFFICE STATUS
AASLD staff members are currently working remotely and will continue to do so through 2023.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING
AASLD will pay the annual fees for professional societies that provide educational programs specific to the duties of the Chief Executive Officer and approved staff. In addition, AASLD will cover fees for educational seminars and/or classes that will improve the developmental skills, knowledge, and ability of staff.
TUITION REIMBURSEMENT
AASLD encourages staff to continue their education and further enhance their knowledge through formal educational resources.
RECRUITMENT BONUS
Should an employee be hired from a staff referral, the referring staff member will receive a $300 bonus following the completion of the referral’s first six (6) months of employment.
