MBF Program & Operations Coordinator
Reports to: MBF Executive Director and MBF Development Director

Background
Founded in 1964, the Massachusetts Bar Foundation (MBF) is the philanthropic partner of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Through its grantmaking and charitable activities, the MBF works to increase access to justice for all in Massachusetts and to support programs that improve the administration of justice across the Commonwealth. Last year, the MBF awarded over $7 million in grants to support initiatives that provide critical legal aid to low-income individuals and families, improve the administration of justice, promote careers in public interest law, and introduce young people to career opportunities within the legal system.
Position Overview
The MBF seeks an organized, detail-oriented individual to join its small team. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to learn and grow in the nonprofit or philanthropic sector while helping to strengthen an organization dedicated to supporting equal access to justice in Massachusetts.
The Program & Operations Coordinator provides essential programmatic and operational support to all the Foundation’s core activities, including grantmaking, fundraising, communications, and events. The Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring that MBF systems, workflows, and administrative processes run smoothly and efficiently. By maintaining strong systems and clear processes, this role helps ensure continuity and effectiveness across the organization, allowing the Executive Director and Development Director to focus on strategy, leadership, and relationship management.
This role is well suited for a candidate seeking hands-on exposure to grantmaking and nonprofit operations in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Salary Range: $54,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience.
