Position Overview

Reporting to the Program Specialist, Government Partnerships the Program Manager, will manage the launch and implementation of a large-scale, government-funded maternal health distribution program. The Program Manager will play a supportive role in day-to-day coordination across internal teams, government stakeholders, and distribution partners, with a focus on administrative support, partner onboarding, data tracking, and operational follow-through. Ideal candidates will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in project coordination, government partnerships, maternal health, and logistics operations. This position sits at the intersection of our Operations and Programs teams.

The Program Manager must be based in New York State and able to commute easily to Melville, NY. This role is primarily remote, with weekly on-site work at our Long Island warehouse to support meetings with government partners and hospitals. Periodic travel to our Los Angeles headquarters may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports the day-to-day operations of Baby2Baby’s New York State–funded programs to help meet distribution goals and contractual requirements.
• Manages meetings by drafting agendas, taking notes, and tracking action items.
• Provides administrative and logistical support for partner onboarding, orientations, and ongoing engagement.
• Manages the statewide diaper distribution and the delivery of Maternal Health and Newborn Supply Kits to birthing hospitals across New York State.
• Supports the collaborative work with warehouse, operations and procurement to manage inventory tracking, logistics coordination, and order fulfillment.
• Applies basic warehousing and logistics knowledge to support distribution activities.
• Respond to partner inquiries and supports senior program staff with tracking timelines and deliverables.
• Manages the preparation for distribution events, and program activities, including occasional manual labor.
• Gains experience working with a third-party logistics provider (3PL).
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4-6 years of experience in managing external teams including; program support, administration, operations, or a related role (nonprofit or government experience a plus).
• Experience supporting funded public health programs, grants, or large-scale initiatives.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; comfortable learning new systems.
• Willingness to travel within New York State and occasionally nationally as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with hospitals or healthcare partners, particularly within New York State.
• Familiarity with maternal and infant health programs or systems is a plus.
• Conversational Spanish language skills are a huge plus.
• Experience using survey tools such as Qualtrics or similar platforms.
• Experience with inventory management or data systems (e.g., DEAR or comparable software)

Salary

This role’s salary range is between $65,000 - $78,000/yr. Actual salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
