    Description

    Senior Brand & Communications Manager

    Manages the brands, content strategies, digital communications, design and oversight of websites, e-newsletters, briefings, social media posts, and other communications of IBLCE, a global non-profit credentialing organization and its affiliates- the IBCLC Commission, MILCC, and the Global Centre for Lactation Training (GCLT)®. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, digital and social media strategies and implementation, enhancing the organization’s and affiliates’ brand presence, and keeping up to date the IBLCE, affiliates, and Care Award websites design and content, creating promotional and conference/exhibit materials and to serve IBCLCs and other stakeholders effectively and in a timely manner.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Formulate branding, marketing, and communications strategies to help build and sustain IBLCE’s brand.
    • Manage communication strategies to ensure consistency of messaging in all digital and printed media (e-blasts, social, web, videos, promotional materials) for a global audience.
    • Develop and implement organizational social media strategies to engage target audiences, create awareness of the value of the IBCLC certification and other products and services, and consistently articulate the mission and work of IBLCE & Affiliates.
    • Manage IBLCE & Affiliates social media channels, to include crisis management if necessary.
    • Play a role in advancing IBLCE & Affiliates’ Strategic Plan with respect to portions of the plan that pertain to Communications.
    • Manage Communications calendar in addition to other collaborative Comm schedules ensuring collaboration with respective department heads.
    • Uses visual and copywriting tools to create engaging, on-brand branding and marketing assets across digital and print channels
    • Manage projects related to ongoing certification operations, to include examination and recertification communications, as well as coordinating translations for certification applications.
    • Monitor online forums to respond to questions and enhance the organization’s social presence.
    • Manage the IBLCE and affiliated websites.
    • Develop communications strategies and brand/marketing content to position and promote the Centre’s educational products and services.
    • Continuously improve user experience for stakeholders including certificants, candidates, donors, employers and the public.
    • Lead accessibility initiatives with respect to IBLCE & Affiliates communications.
    • Coordinate conference exhibits, including registration, development from concept to completion, an array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials for conferences, exhibits, etc.
    • Develop promotional materials and ensure consistent brand voice and vision.
    • Produce and edit educational and social media video content utilizing video tools, with meticulous attention to content, captions, graphics, audio quality, and visual storytelling. Ensure that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization & affiliates and/or brands, using credentialing and healthcare best practices.
    • Draft media/press relationships and generate press releases.
    • Prepare and distribute periodic Briefings with input from other professional staff.
    • Working with other professional staff, facilitate postings on the Career Centre.
    • Collaborate effectively across functional areas and departments to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational goals.
    • Manage vendor and consultant relationships related to social media, website, etc.
    • Analyze data and report metrics.
    • Manage all internal department relationships and project needs for the Communications team.

    General

    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Some travel, including potentially international, evening and weekend work required, particularly with respect to occasional press inquiries or occasional issues which require rapid response.

    Senior Communication & Certification Coordinator

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required with at least five years of relevant experience in a nonprofit environment. Supervision experience preferred.
    • Ability to think strategically, proactively identify issues, and generate recommendations.
    • Ability to respond proactively and effectively to emergent issues.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
    • Oversee end-to-end project management for communication initiatives and coordinating across teams and key stakeholders while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality control. Experience with Wrike or other project management software a plus.
    • Proficiency with social media platforms and Constant Contact and keen interest in learning new tools.
    • Proficient in video editing, with experience creating and editing content for educational and digital marketing preferred
    • Experience managing and tracking marketing and promotional budget and expenses.
    • Experience developing and implementing social media strategies to engage target audiences, create awareness and promote brand(s).
    • Proven, tactful and professional interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to work with individuals from broad geographical and cultural backgrounds.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sensitivity to cultural and geographical differences.
    • Excellent visual design abilities, including proficient use of tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, to include PremirePro, and WordPress. Embraces a growth mindset, with the ability to receive and incorporate constructive feedback
    • Familiarity with the issues impacting certification and maternal-child health communication is preferred.
    • Excellent customer service skills inclusive of internal stakeholders.
    • Well-developed ability to coordinate multiple tasks and projects effectively and professionally; adapt to change; prioritize shifting opportunities; handle challenges with professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
