    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Reporting to the Associate Director of the Office of Faculty Development and Instructional Technology, the Instructional Design Assistant/College Assistant will support the Office in the development, revision and maintenance of online courses. The Instructional Design Assistant/College Assistant will:

    • Assist with the building and revision of accessible courses in the Brightspace learning environment using content provided by the academic program
    • Assist with the quality assurance review of courses in Brightspace using a standardized checklist and procedure
    • Assist with ensuring online content complies with accessibility standards using checklists and workflows
    • Assist with providing faculty support on instructional technology platforms such as Brightspace
    • Assist with planning and facilitating training and other faculty development events
    • Other duties as assigned

    Preferred Minimum Qualification:

    • High school diploma/GED

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency with the LMS Brightspace
    • High level of comfort with technology and ability to upskill rapidly
    • Attention to detail and accuracy and strong organizational skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office or other productivity suites
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Familiarity with accessibility and Universal Design for Learning for online courses preferred
    • Experience with providing user training and support preferred
    • Instructional design experience desirable
