    Description

    Techrity is a non-profit organization focused on bridging gaps in unemployment, gender inclusion, and poverty by equipping young talents with the resources to get started in Tech and build innovative solutions for social good in Africa.

    We are seeking a highly capable HR & Admin Officer to join our remote team and provide comprehensive support to our Human Resources and Administration Department.

    In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently processing employee data, keeping company policies up-to-date, and assisting in the hiring process.

    Your exceptional organizational skills and familiarity with HR functions will contribute to the smooth running of all HR operations.

    You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and promoting effective communication within the organization.

    Your attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion will be essential in this role.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintaining digital personnel records like employment contracts and PTO requests
    • Update internal databases with new hire information
    • Create and distribute guidelines and FAQ documents about company policies
    • Gather payroll data like bank accounts and working days
    • Payroll Processing
    • Publish and remove job ads
    • Schedule job interviews and contact candidates as needed
    • Prepare reports and presentations on HR-related metrics like total number of hires by department
    • Develop training and onboarding materials
    • Respond to employees’ questions about benefits (for example, number of vacation days they’re eligible for)
    • Team Management across different Techrity teams
    • Manage Projects and Programs successful execution.
    • Manage quarterly performance reviews and reports

    Requirements and skills

    • Work experience as an HR & Admin Officer, HR Administrative Assistant or similar role
    • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
    • knowledge of labor legislation
    • Experience using spreadsheets
    • Organizational skills
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
    • Resident in Port Harcourt, Rivers State
    • BSc in Human Resources Management or relevant field
