    Description

    Transaction Posting and Management:

    • Record and monitor monthly 10-15 income and expense transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO), with most expenses being recurring and scheduled for efficiency.
    • Ensure all transactions are properly categorized and coded in alignment with financial policies.

    Monthly Reconciliations:

    • Perform monthly reconciliation of QBO, ensuring all bank, credit card, and third-party transactions match financial records.
    • Reconcile Givebutter transactions, with some Square and Paypal activities, as well as paper checks, particularly during peak donation and program fee cycles.

    Financial Documentation & Compliance:

    • Maintain and organize financial records in Google Drive, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
    • Work closely with the Board Treasurer and Operations Admin to provide timely financial updates and reports.
    • Support documentation gathering for the annual 990 filing and year-end processing of 1099s/W-2s.

    Standard Operating Procedures & Internal Controls:

    • Support the Operations Admin in developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recording income, expenses, and financial reporting.
    • Assist in developing and implementing internal controls to strengthen financial accuracy, compliance, and fraud prevention.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accountant, or finance professional.
    • 3-5 years of experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
    • Familiarity with Givebutter, Square, PayPal reconciliations, and Google Drive for financial document management.
    • Experience in developing SOPs and implementing financial internal controls.
    • Strong understanding of nonprofit financial management, GAAP, bank reconciliations, and financial compliance.
    • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines independently.

    Level of Language Proficiency

    Fluent english speaker.
