    Position Title:

    • Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator
    • Organization: Cambiando Vidas –
    • www.cambiandovidasdr.com – Building homes and changing lives in the Dominican
    • Republic
    • Location: mainly remote. Some potential travel to events or partner meetings within continental USA (estimated 2 to 4 travels per year or +/- 18 days of travel per year) in addition to potential trips to the Dominican Republic to visit the project.
    • Commitment: Part-time (+/- 20 hours per week)
    • Reporting to: Cambiando Vidas USA Board of Directors

    About Cambiando Vidas

    Cambiando Vidas is a nonprofit organization that partners with U.S. schools, universities, corporations, and faith-based groups to build homes for deserving families in rural Dominican Republic. Through a week-long volunteer experience, participants transform lives — both of the families receiving new homes and of those who build them.

    Position Overview

    We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Outreach & Partnerships Coordinator to expand our network of institutional partners and donors. This role will focus on connecting with high schools, universities, corporations, and church groups interested in sending volunteer teams to the Dominican Republic, as well as cultivating donors to sustain the program.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Outreach: Develop an organized outreach plan, including targeted lists of prospective institutions and contacts, events that should be attended, development of communication and materials, Social Media approach and communication.
    • Develop Institutional Relationships: Identify, contact, and build relationships with decision-makers at schools, universities, corporations, and church organizations.
    • Promote Volunteer Opportunities: Present the Cambiando Vidas program at events, fairs, and conferences (in person or virtually).
    • Donor Cultivation: Build and maintain a roster of donors (individuals and institutions) to support housing projects and community development initiatives.
    • Partnership Management: Follow up with leads, schedule presentations, and coordinate next steps with USA Board and Operations Manager in the Dominican Republic.
    • Online Media Maintenance: Maintain and update the organization’s social media accounts and website content based on agreed strategy.
    • Reporting: Maintain contact database and track progress toward outreach and fundraising goals.

    Ideal Candidate

    • Experience in institutional outreach, partnership development, and fundraising.
    • Strong communicator with confidence presenting to educators, administrators, or corporate CSR managers.
    • Mission-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
    • Familiarity with global volunteering, education abroad, or nonprofit engagement programs a plus.

    Compensation & Schedule

    • Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week.
    • Flexible schedule: ability to travel within continental USA to select events or conferences may be required in addition to potential trips to the Dominican Republic to visit the project.
    • Compensation commensurate with experience.
