    Title: Coordinator, Educator Content Production

    Reports To: Associate Director, Educator Content Production

    Status: Full Time; Exempt

    Location: US Based Home Office

    Salary Range*: $55,000 - $60,000 (S2/B2)

    Facing History & Ourselves is a global education non-profit organization that challenges teachers and students to use lessons of history to stand up to racism, antisemitism, and other forms of bigotry and hate.

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Coordinator, Educator Content Production to support the production of Facing History’s curricular resources. This role will support and contribute to all stages of the content production process, from copyediting, design, licensing, and translation, to digital or print delivery. A key focus of this role will be supporting the production of digital- and print-based resources for middle and high school teachers and students for Facing History’s growing district partnerships.

    Who We Are: The Educator Product Development team is responsible for developing and producing Facing History’s educator materials. We are passionate about providing teachers with exceptional, high-quality resources that meet their needs. We work collaboratively, uphold high standards, and support one another in creating meaningful impact. Within this department, the growing Content Production team is responsible for transforming our content into polished final products and takes pride in their role in ensuring quality, consistency, and accuracy across Facing History’s educator resources.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Support all stages of educator content production, from copyedit, design, and translation, to final delivery in digital or print formats, primarily for Facing History’s district work.
    • Secure and maintain Facing History’s licenses to use third-party content in educator resources.
    • Coordinate with freelance vendors, including designers, copy editors, and translators, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and standards.
    • Create, update, and/or collate educator content in Google Docs, Google Slides, PDFs, and other formats.
    • Perform quality assurance checks across content and products.
    • Maintain detailed spreadsheets, documentation, and inventories to manage various aspects of content planning, production, and delivery.
    • Complete orders for the printing and distribution of print products to districts.
    • Uphold quality, consistency, and style standards across all products.
    • Process invoices and track expenses.
    • Assist the Educator Content Production department with other duties as required by position.

    Skills and Requirements:

    • 1–2 years of experience working in content production, publishing, and/or project management
    • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
    • Consistent and high-level of accuracy and attention to detail across text and visual materials
    • Editing and proofreading experience preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written communication
    • Familiarity with or a willingness to learn and use project management systems such as ClickUp and content management systems like Drupal
    • Knowledge of SEO best practices and modern accessibility standards a plus
    • Creative and flexible self-starter who is able to work both individually and as a member of consensus-seeking teams

    Remote-first/Hybrid Work Model (US Home Based): Facing History & Ourselves operates in a remote-first/hybrid work model, allowing staff flexibility in both schedules and work locations. This particular position is home-based. Some travel is required.

    *We strive to offer competitive salaries commensurate with experience in a similar position. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary range between the minimum and midpoint depending on experience and in alignment with internal parity.
