    Musicians On Call (MOC) delivers live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare environments. By sharing live, in-room performances with patients undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds, we add a dose of joy to life in a healthcare facility. Since 1999, Musicians On Call Volunteer Musicians have performed for over 1,200,000 patients, families and caregivers.

    MOC is seeking passionate, experienced and motivated individuals to bolster communications, outreach and recruitment strategies as part of the Street Team in key markets across the U.S.

    The Street Team plays a vital role in strengthening MOC’s mission by cultivating and sustaining community awareness, in an effort to grow programs to reach more hospitalized individuals. This part-time position offers the opportunity to design, hone and implement a variety of marketing and outreach strategies to bring awareness to your community while supporting MOC’s volunteer engagement and community building efforts.

    This position is part-time at $25/hr, averaging 10 hours per two-week pay period, and must reside in the city you select on the application. This position will report directly to the MOC Program Contact who oversees MOC Bedside in the assigned city.

    This position will begin in early April 2026 and end in December 2026.

    Responsibilities:

    • Increase the base of active Volunteer Guides and Volunteer Musicians your community
    • Research and identify new ideas and strategies for identifying and recruiting prospective volunteers
    • Work with the Program Manager to build and sustain collaborative relationships with community-based organizations, residents, and community stakeholders
    • Assist with development of culturally appropriate outreach materials (flyers, newsletters, social media content)
    • Proactively research and connect with local musicians and charitable individuals to expand MOC’s volunteer pipeline
    • Represent the organization at outreach events, recruitment fairs, festivals, and by engaging local businesses and other general community events
    • Attend and provide in-person support of local MOC events, including recruitment, volunteer appreciation and fundraising events
    • Provide in-person support of MOC Bedside shifts at hospital partners, including acting as a fill-in volunteer and/or onsite Certified Volunteer Trainer
    • Support storytelling efforts that highlight community impact and volunteer contributions

    Requirements:

    • Experienced marketing or community outreach professional, very personable, highly organized
    • Passionate about Musicians On Call’s mission and committed to promoting it within the community
    • Model Musicians On Call’s culture and values: community, excellence, compassion, innovation, and inclusivity
    • Sharp eye for detailed and clear communication
    • Possess great time management skills
    • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
    • Create and sustain warm, engaging, and community connections
    • Ability to represent MOC professionally in public
    • Demonstrates strong creative and problem-solving skills
    • Flexibility during the day and evening to attend meetings and recruitment events or other assigned opportunities
