Downey Side is a national adoption agency dedicated to special needs children whom we call "America's Waiting Children". Downey Side is one of the few national adoption agencies in the U.S. recruiting families for America's Waiting Children.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic social worker to join progressive mission for homeless adolescents in New York City areas. Recruit, prepare, and support families adopting children from American Foster Care- the Children Who Wait. This is a P/T 1099 independent contractor position. Applicants will work on a case-by case basis when we have a family in your surrounding area. The ideal candidate for this position will already have a full-time job, but will want to work p/t to make extra money by writing homestudies and conducting homevisits. All candidates must be available in the evening to make homevisits to our families. Workers are paid per task at the end of each month.

Suitable candidates should have a BA degree in social work or an MSW. All qualified candidates will be subject to state fingerprinting and a background check prior to hire date.

This is a remote position where you can work on your own schedule.
