    Job Title: NDA Activity Specialist / Instructor

    Job Type: Part-Time

    Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

    Expected Hours: 20–25 hours per week

    Schedule: Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

    Language Requirement: Bilingual – English and Spanish (Required)

    Position Summary:

    Community Counseling & Mediation (CCM) is seeking a creative and experienced NDA Activity Specialist to join our high school after-school program under the Neighborhood Development Area (NDA) initiative. This part-time position involves planning and leading engaging, project-based activities that foster academic enrichment, leadership development, and personal growth for high school youth.

    The ideal candidate will have expertise in a specific enrichment area (e.g., arts, STEM, sports, media, wellness, or other skill-based disciplines), strong classroom management skills, and a passion for working with teens in underserved communities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement structured, project-based lesson plans in your area of expertise that promote creativity, critical thinking, and personal development
    • Submit lesson plans to the NDA Family Development Coach for review and approval
    • Facilitate engaging and interactive activities that meet the developmental needs of high school students
    • Create opportunities for youth to showcase their work through presentations, exhibitions, or performances
    • Collaborate with community-based organizations and cultural institutions to enhance programming and coordinate field trips
    • Maintain accurate records, including attendance, activity logs, and sign-out sheets
    • Track and document student progress and participation
    • Establish a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment with clear expectations and age-appropriate rules
    • Ensure proper use, maintenance, and organization of classroom materials and supplies
    • Uphold program policies and procedures
    • Foster open communication with parents, school-day teachers, and program staff
    • Attend staff meetings, professional development workshops, and special events as required
    • Represent the program professionally and respectfully in all interactions with staff, families, and community members
    • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Family Development Coach

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma required
    • 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field
    • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience leading enrichment activities for youth, preferably in a school-age or after-school setting
    • Strong classroom management and group facilitation skills
    • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing curriculum for high school students
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish (Required)
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
