Location: Bronx, NY 10466 (In-person only)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to support high school students in their academic and personal development. This part-time role focuses on helping students stay on track for graduation, explore post-secondary options, and build life skills through individual support, workshops, and engaging activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Youth Development Coordinator (YDC) to create individualized service plans tailored to each student’s interests, strengths, and goals.
- Meet weekly with students and conduct monthly check-ins with their families.
- Monitor academic progress to ensure students remain on the path to graduation.
- Support students in addressing social-emotional challenges that may impact their success.
- Facilitate workshops on college readiness, financial aid, essay writing, career exploration, and more.
- Assist in organizing and supervising off-campus trips to colleges, job training programs, and volunteer opportunities.
- Help plan and lead social and skill-building activities, including those focused on social-emotional learning and restorative justice.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, social work, counseling, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience working with high school youth in educational or recreational settings, preferably in after-school or similar programs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with students, families, staff, and community members.
- Dependable, responsible, and able to follow direction from program supervisors.
- Team-oriented with a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

- Must be able to commute to or reside in Bronx, NY 10466.
- Relocation to Bronx, NY 10466 must be completed before the start date if applicable.
