There is a rising need for grief support, especially for children, with the goal to protect their future and help them thrive. Adam’s House is at a key juncture in its history, having recently hired a new Executive Director and been recognized as a leader in peer educational grief support for children and their families. To help Adam’s House expand awareness for the cornerstone program, Helping Hearts Heals, and partner with communities to further our mission, we are seeking a Director of Community Impact. The successful candidate will be an energetic and collaborative leader with a track record of volunteer management and able to easily introduce Adam’s House to key communities and have a background in basic communication tools to support the marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand corporate sponsorships and develop meaningful engagement opportunities, such as employee volunteer initiatives, and support community programs representing Adam’s House
- Cultivate relationships with individuals and community groups to increase visibility for the organization and grow a robust volunteer base to help with programs, fundraising events, friend-raising events, and partner events.
- Represent organization as spokesperson at public/private events.
- With Communication’s Director, expand community and stakeholder outreach including multipronged social media efforts.
- Direct two fundraising events: Golf Tournament in the Spring and Dancing with the Stars in the Fall building a volunteer committee to support each event

- Manage and update current database (Little Greenlight)
- Manage and update the Website (Wordpress)
- Manage and grow social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Nextdoor)
- Create and manage the annual report, quarterly newsletters, brochures, fundraising packages, media kits and press releases
