Facilities Supervisor (part-time), Calvary Presbyterian Church
In this part-time position, you will help a 650-member congregation manage a 125-year-old building complex at 2515 Fillmore Street in San Francisco. This position will help with the delivery of facility services for programs and events, support some events, and help manage the opening, closing, and operations of the building. Additional duties include some vendor contacts and relationships, emergency preparedness tasks, as well as general program support to staff Project Managers, Program Directors and church staff and lay leadership. The church is financially stable and this should be a steady, regular job position.
Your work week will usually be 4 days, 20-24 hours per week. There will be a need for some Saturday or Sunday shifts. The position is classified as ‘non-exempt’ and reports to the Facilities Manager.
Examples of common shifts are illustrated below (assuming a 30 min. lunch break), but final scheduling is subject to organizational needs:
Morning (opening) shifts: 8 am – 1 pm
Evening (closing) shifts: 3 pm – 8 pm (sometimes 5 - 10 pm)
Saturday shifts: 8 am – 1 pm (sometimes 5-10 pm)
Sun shifts: 8 am – 1 pm
We offer a kindly, but busy work environment in a convenient, bus accessible location (2515 Fillmore St, SF) and compensation in the range of $25-32 per hour depending on experience. Compensation includes some paid sick leave (1 hour per 30 worked).
