    Job Title: Assistant Director of Supportive Housing

    About Us:

    Community Counseling & Mediation (CCM) is a Brooklyn-based behavioral health organization dedicated to addressing the root causes of mental illness, substance abuse, and related challenges. We provide culturally sensitive, community-centered services, including counseling, mental health support, education, and supportive housing to at-risk children, youth, and families. Serving over 25,000 individuals annually across Brooklyn and Manhattan, CCM operates more than 25 programs, making us a vital resource in the community.

    Position Overview:

    The Assistant Director of Supportive Housing works closely with the Program Director to provide leadership and supervision across CCM’s supportive housing programs. This role involves staff development, program management, service delivery oversight, and contract compliance. The Assistant Director ensures that services meet the individualized needs of participants and that program rules and regulations are followed. Additional responsibilities include managing resident census, staff recruitment and supervision, and expanding program services through collaboration with other CCM departments and community partners. The Assistant Director also serves as the Program Director’s backup when needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Program Management: Oversee clinical and administrative supervision of Case Managers and support staff, ensuring high-quality services across multiple housing sites.
    • Staff Development: Provide regular supervision, training, and support to the team to promote professional growth and program success.
    • Program Evaluation: Conduct ongoing evaluations to assess program effectiveness and implement improvements.
    • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to contractual and agency policies. Prepare accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Financial Oversight: Manage program budgets, monitor revenue streams, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
    • Collaboration: Partner with CCM’s Quality Assurance Manager to maintain compliance with government contracts and funding requirements.
    • Facility & Property Coordination: Work with property management on maintenance, rent collection, and tenant tax credit recertification. Manage data using HMIS software.
    • Additional Duties: Support CCM organizational initiatives and events. Facilitate smooth program operations and service delivery.

    Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Social Services or a related field (LMSW/LCSW preferred).
    • Previous experience in a supportive housing program is required.
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, people with substance use disorders, and veterans.
    • At least 3 years of leadership and supervisory experience.
    • Strong skills in program evaluation and nonprofit administration.
    • Knowledge of Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) standards.
    • Proficient in organizational and computer skills; experience with MAVEN/AWARDS software is a plus.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Salary: $75,000 - $80,000 annually
    • Benefits include: 403(b) retirement plan, dental, health, and vision insurance, paid time off
    • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts with occasional weekend requirements
