    Description

    The Director of Marketing & Communications is a strategic, mission-driven, and creative leader responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all marketing, communications, and brand strategies for Path with Art. The Director will ensure alignment of messaging and brand awareness, enhance visibility, and engage diverse communities—including national sector leaders, donors, business leaders, health care agencies, social service partners, news outlets, elected officials, policy makers, and the public.

    This role requires a dynamic storyteller who can effectively communicate Path with Art's mission of

    using arts engagement and community as a pathway for individual well-being and public health.

    Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

    Strategic Leadership and Planning (25%)

    • Develop and execute a multi-year, comprehensive marketing and communications plan that aligns with Path with Art’s mission, values, and strategic priorities.
    • Serve on the senior leadership team, acting as a strategic thought partner to shape the organization's direction.
    • Set and manage the annual marketing and communications budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
    • Identify and cultivate cross-marketing opportunities with strategic partnerships at both the national and local level.
    • Translate strategic goals into clear operational priorities for the Marketing Content Manager.

    Fundraising and Earned Revenue Support (35%)

    • Collaborate closely with the Development team to plan, support, and direct fundraising initiatives and events including but not limited to materials for fundraising appeals, donor stewardship, and variety of strategic events.
    • Collaborate with Senior Leadership to create compelling fundraising narratives and case statements that resonate with individual and corporate donors.
    • Develop marketing plans and identify strategies and ensure organizational alignment in messaging for earned revenue.
    • Oversee and provide strategic direction for collateral and outreach developed by the Marketing Manager or contractors.

    Brand and Content Management (20%)

    • Ensure strategic priorities are understood and integrated across all marketing and communication messaging
    • Direct and ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all platforms, including the website, social media, print collateral, and public relations.
    • Oversee the creation of all organizational collateral, press releases, newsletters, and annual reports.
    • Develop and enforce editorial and visual brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive and professional identity.
    • Ensure content creation and sign off processes are managed by the Marketing Manager with Director approval on final messaging and strategic framing. Ensure that all communications reflect a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion, embracing radical hospitality and dignity for all.

    Public Relations and Media Outreach (10%)

    • Serve as the media point of contact and organizational spokesperson with senior staff as identified.
    • Proactively pitch stories to local and national media that highlight participant successes and the organization's impact.
    • Position Path with Art as a thought leader in the intersection of arts, healing, and social justice
    • Oversee execution for corporate engagement collateral and outreach

    Team Management and Development (10%)

    • Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing and content creation team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
    • Oversee project management workflows and timelines to ensure effective execution of all initiatives.
