Kennel Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in a kennel environment, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining a clean and safe facility. This role requires a love for animals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily care for all animals in the kennel, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
• Assist with dog training sessions and socialization activities as needed.
• Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or larger animals safely.
• Ensure all safety protocols are followed during animal handling and care.
• Maintain accurate records of animal care routines, medications, and any incidents that occur during shifts.
• Assist in pet sitting services when required, providing care in clients' homes as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in animal care and handling. Candidates with backgrounds in dog training or veterinary assistance will be highly regarded.
• Familiarity with kennel operations and animal behavior is Important.
• Strong skills in heavy lifting and physical stamina to manage the demands of the role effectively.
• A passion for animal welfare and a commitment to providing high-quality pet care is essential.
