    Description

    Saint-Gaudens Memorial

The Saint-Gaudens Memorial (SGM), a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving the living legacy of renowned American sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens (1848-1907) and supporting the Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park, Cornish, NH, is seeking a motivated and mission-driven Development and Administrative Associate. This is an exciting opportunity to help guide the organization into a new phase of growth and increased impact.

    About the Saint-Gaudens Memorial

Established in 1919, the Saint-Gaudens Memorial is one of the nation’s earliest historic preservation organizations. It was created to maintain and interpret the home, studios, gardens, and artwork of Augustus Saint-Gaudens—acclaimed for his monuments to Civil War heroes, including the Robert Gould Shaw and the 54th Massachusetts Regiment Memorial, as well as his celebrated U.S. coin designs and broader influence on the Gilded Age.

SGM operated the property as a museum from 1927 until 1964, when it donated the site to the federal government. Today it is the Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park (SGNHP, or Park), which is maintained and managed by the National Park Service and draws up to 40,000 visitors per year. SGM works in partnership with the National Park Service, producing and funding exhibitions, concerts, and programs at the Park for the benefit of the public, as well as advocating for the Park to ensure its vitality and sustainability. While SGM is autonomous, it works in close partnership with the National Park Service to promote the site and enhance its visibility.
