    Position Summary

    The Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist will support the Finance team by managing vendor invoices, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. This role requires someone detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Invoice Management

    • Receive, review, and accurately enter vendor invoices into the AP system.
    • Verify vendor details and maintain updated records.
    • Organize supporting documentation and ensure proper filing in shared drives.

    Payment Processing

    • Prepare payment batches for approval and execution.
    • Assist with wire transfers and ACH processing, including logging wire numbers and assigning payments.
    • Follow approval workflows and escalate discrepancies promptly.

    Compliance and Verification

    • Confirm payment details with vendors and internal finance team before releasing funds.
    • Ensure adherence to organizational and banking controls for electronic payments.

    Reporting and Prioritization

    • Generate and review open items reports to track outstanding invoices.
    • Help prioritize payments based on vendor urgency and organizational needs.

    Collaboration and Support

    • Coordinate with finance team members for approvals and troubleshooting.
    • Provide backup support during high-volume periods or staff absences.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Participate in AP training sessions and stay updated on process changes.
    • Embrace improvements for efficiency and accuracy in AP workflows.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience: 3+ years of accounts payable or related finance experience.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AP systems; experience using Multiview helpful
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    Work Schedule

    Part-time: On-site, approximately 15-18 hours per week (flexible scheduling).
