    (up to 20 hours per week primarily during business hours; potential for Full-Time Position after 6

    months if interested)

    Women Of Color Entrepreneurs (“WOCE”) widens the circle of entrepreneurship by supporting

    women of color entrepreneurs who are building great businesses and want help growing them

    to scale. Founded in 2019, we are a Massachusetts nonprofit providing long-term mentorship

    combined with tailored programming, a community of peer support, and curated access to

    potential customers, lenders and investors.

    The Operations Coordinator is an essential member of the WOCE team, helping to produce and

    implement programs, communicate with a variety of stakeholders, and manage logistics that

    deliver on our mission of supporting women of color entrepreneurs and creating a vibrant

    “sisterhood”. A rewarding role with impact and room for growth, the Operations Coordinator

    provides important support for our entrepreneurs through our programming sessions geared

    towards business growth. The Operations Coordinator’s crucial “behind the scenes” logistics

    and administrative responsibilities ensure events, operations, and processes run smoothly,

    building our strong and vibrant community and fostering the culture of collaboration, inclusivity,

    and fun with which it operates.

    WOCE’s office is based out of CIC, a community coworking space with a broad range of

    appealing facilities and amenities. The Operations Coordinator will help to produce in-person

    events and meetings, including in the evening and on occasional weekends, up to 15-20 times

    per year. Work at least two days a week during business hours from CIC with the possibility of

    working remotely for the other days, in coordination with the ED. For remote work time, the

    candidate has to be available to work during business hours.

    Work with our entrepreneurs ~60%

    • Program Support Services. Support implementation, logistics, and production

    of programming sessions so our entrepreneurs can learn about tools for

    business growth. These tasks include setting up and recording Zooms, sharing

    links and powerpoints with participants, and sending evaluations and compiling

    results.

    • Data & Metrics Assistance. Collect metrics and outputs from entrepreneur

    goal setting work, input into spreadsheets and Airtable, and generate internal

    reports to track, highlight, celebrate, and promote entrepreneur successes with

    guidance from our Program Director.

    • Marketing Support. Assist senior staff members with creation and execution of

    marketing materials to recruit new companies to our cohorts and to publicize our

    events, including updating social media images, emails to partners, mailers and

    Canva collateral.

    • Community Building. Help build community and trust with our entrepreneurs

    by communicating and supporting our entrepreneurs through scheduling 1:1

    check-ins with senior staff and in peer support sessions, along with other

    members of our team.

    • Convenings Support. Assist in logistics, including food, setting up space and

    materials, for internal all-cohort and other gatherings to help create a spirit of

    sisterhood for our entrepreneurs.

    General Administration ~ 40%

    • Organizational Administration. General organizational support, including preparation

    and tracking of routine and non-routine correspondence from the Executive Director and

    Program Director to key constituencies and partners.

    • Administer our information systems. Manage and edit our website through

    Squarespace, our mailer through Mailchimp, as well as organizational systems such as

    Calendly, Google Workspace, Zoom, and Airtable.

    • External event planning. Assist in external event planning to help showcase our work

    for donors, partners, and prospective cohort members.

    • Vendor relationships. Coordinate vendor relationships and handle invoicing and

    reimbursement processes for all vendors.

    • Financial Administration. Process and track incoming donations and vendor

    payments, and provide financial reporting support to the Executive Director. Support the

    work of the financial team (bookkeeper and controller).

    Experience and Qualifications

    Requires 2-4 years of operations, administrative, and project management experience in a

    nonprofit or corporate environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Experience working within a nonprofit organization is a plus.

    • Must be highly organized and extremely detail-oriented.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, follow through, and manage time effectively.
    • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to set priorities, work independently, multi-task with regular interruptions, problem

    solve, maintain confidentiality, and coordinate projects successfully.

    • Proficiency with Google Workspace required, experience with programs such as Asana,

    Squarespace, Mailchimp, Canva and QuickBooks is preferred, and ability to learn new

    technologies, including Airtable.

    • Experience managing schedules and contacts.
    • Comfortable with the ambiguity that sometimes occurs in a fast-paced organization, and

    flexible enough to meet changing demands.

    • Schedule will include some evening work and weekends as outlined above, in addition to

    weekday daytime hours.

    • Demonstrated commitment to our organizational values including racial and gender

    This is a half-time position at this time, based on a full-time salary of $50,000.
