Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage daily operations, staff, and core programs in support of Hudson Valley Current’s mission.
Oversee fundraising, financial stewardship, grant writing, and resource allocation with clear budgetary discipline—ensuring that expenditures align with organizational income and supporting long-term financial health.
Strengthen and expand the network of 450+ business and individual members, facilitating meaningful exchanges and local circulation of Currents.
Work with the board to transition HVC’s primary revenue engines—Tilda’s Kitchen and Kingston Lively—to models that support the new director and the organization’s mission.
Take ownership of HVC’s social media, developing and implementing a successful, strategic new direction for online engagement and outreach.
Develop and nurture lasting partnerships with regional and global organizations, local governments, and community leaders.
Serve as a visible, personable ambassador at community presentations, events, and public forums.
Execute long-term visioning and strategic planning to ensure future growth and sustainability.
Foster a culture of teamwork and ethical practice across all levels of the organization.
Manage program development and evaluation; report to the Board and stakeholders with transparency and accuracy.
Collaborate thoughtfully with the Board, seeking clarity around major organization-changing decisions and bringing experience to support effective, well-informed decision-making processes—especially in the first year of leadership transition.
