    Description

    Job Purpose:

    The Projects Manager is responsible for overseeing the implementation of projects led by the Senior Programmes Officers. The Projects Manager provides supervision, guidance, and operational oversight to ensure all projects meet organizational standards, timelines, and quality benchmarks. Key responsibilities include: Supervising and supporting Senior Programme Officers in project delivery. Monitoring progress and addressing challenges. Ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with organizational standards. Facilitating coordination with partners, donors, and internal teams. The Projects Manager reports directly to the Senior Programmes Manager, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and organizational priorities.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

      Project Planning & Implementation

      • Lead the day-to-day implementation of assigned programmes and activities. Address operational challenges and ensure smooth coordination.
      • Prepare and monitor project work plans, schedules, and budgets, including BVA updates.
      • Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of programme components and outputs.
      • Conduct field visits to monitor progress and address operational challenges.
      • Ensure project activities comply with internal frameworks, donor requirements, and quality standards.
      • Oversee data collection, pre/post-assessments, and feedback analysis with the MEAL team.
      • Track expenditures and ensure project spending aligns with approved budgets.

        Coordination & Communication

        • Coordinate with internal teams (Communications, Institute, Finance, Operations) to support smooth project implementation.
        • Provide timely stories, data, and achievements for communications and fundraising efforts.
        • Engage with local partners and community stakeholders to support project delivery and sustainability.

          Team Support & Collaboration

          • Supervise Senior Programmes Officers, Programmes Officers, Coordinators, and Facilitators assigned to the project.
          • Conduct regular check-ins and provide guidance to ensure effective teamwork.
          • Promote a collaborative, learning-driven work environment within the programme team.

          Qualifications and Experience:

          • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
          • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project management in the NGO or development sector.
          • Experience working with volunteers, youth programmes, or community-based initiatives.
          • Knowledge of programme design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
          • Strong communication and reporting skills in English and Arabic.
          • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and work under pressure.
          • Excellent computer skills (MS Office, spreadsheets, presentations).
          • Experience mentoring or coaching staff or facilitators.
